【Pharmacological effects】Antibiotics. Cefavirenz sodium is a semi-synthetic third-generation cephalosporin broad-spectrum antibacterial drug, and is used in combination with other antibiotics.Like β-lactam antibiotics, they inhibit bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins on the bacterial cell wall, leading to bacterial death. They have broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against Gram-negative bacteria and exhibit stronger resistance to β-lactamases.

Cefavirenzin is rapidly and completely absorbed after subcutaneous administration in dogs and cats, with high protein binding rates, reaching [specific values ​​missing].98.5% and 99.8%. 【Indications】Used to treat skin infections in dogs caused by susceptible strains of Staphylococcus and Streptococcus (such as secondary superficial pyoderma, abscesses, and wounds), caused by Escherichia coli and.../or urinary tract infections caused by Proteus mirabilis; treatment of skin infections (such as wounds and abscesses) in cats caused by susceptible strains of Pasteurella multocida and Staphylococcus aureus, and urinary tract infections caused by Escherichia coli.

【Usage and dosage】Take this productOne vial, dissolved in 10ml of sterile water for injection. Subcutaneous injection: 8mg per kg body weight for dogs and cats (calculated as cefoperazone, equivalent to 0.1ml per kg body weight). The treatment can last up to 14 days. If the treatment is incomplete in dogs, a second subcutaneous injection may be given, but no more than two injections should be administered.
